Zapato Negro has built a reputation for its exciting blend of progressive jazz and Afro-Caribbean rhythms. Their eclectic and exciting repertoire includes original compositions, lesser-known jazz standards played in clave, and classics of Latin music reworked, re-harmonized, and re-rhythmicized in jazz.
